Completing the Circle

The Omega Center for Sustainable Living in upstate New York decided to build a wastewater treatment system to mitigate its impact on the tributary system of the Hudson River. Solar energy provides 100% of the energy needed to run the plant. All water from the campus is treated and some is used for applications such as irrigation. Designed as a practical and educational project, The Omega Center for Sustainable Living has achieved the prestigious Living Building certification from the Living Building Challenge.
